The most common reasons for switching to a hypoallergenic diet are skin problems, itching, diarrhoea, and recurrent ear infections in dogs.
A dog's allergy may be food-related or caused by environmental factors. The proteins in the Hypoallergenic complete feed have been broken down by hydrolysis into such small particles that the dog's body generally does not react to them with hypersensitivity symptoms. Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Dog Hypoallergenic also contains EPA and DHA fatty acids, which support skin and intestinal well-being, as well as other protective nutrients.
The complete feed can be used either as the basis of an elimination diet or for continuous use under veterinary guidance.
